LSU's FLIX Student Cinema has been shortlisted for the NUS Student Club/Society of the year award 2010!
LSU nominated the Society for the award after they had won LSU's Society of Year award for 2 years running, over 300 nominations were recived for the NUS Awards and FLIX have been whittled down to the last 3 in the country!
It's an enormous achievement for the Society to get to this stage, as it means even if they don't win the award, they are amongst the top 3 club/societies in the country! This includes every sports club and every society at every students union!
FLIX student cinema runs film nights in the cope auditorium on a weekly basis, and it is believed they have been shortlisted for their fantastic work in freshers week and their work to integrate international students through their Annual International Film Festival.

The Awards ceremony is taking place at Warwich SU on Thursday the 1st of July, so fingers crossed they can bring the trophy home!
Massive credit must go the Society's committee, the current Chair Eleanor Mowbray, last years chair Lee Adams and his predecessor Dom Low.
